Cameras can catch anything that is in its line of sight. They can be so small that you cant even see them, even if they are five feet in front of you. Which is why no one saw that was about to happen.
In the small town of Clarksburg, Nevada, there was a hotel that was in the middle of nowhere. The Last Chance hotel, is the name of the hotel, owned by Charlie York, a fourty-four year old man. Charlie lived at the hotel because it was far away from his own home. He just stays there all year occasionally going to town for supplies. He also has a tow truck business with his brother Cletis.
Meanwhile, two unexpecting motorists where driving to go visit some family members, for the holidays. Drew and Cathy Simons, a happily married couple for six months. Wanting to have an exciting vacation for there annaversity, while driving through the vast emptiness of the Nevada wasteland, is what the locals called it. Up ahead Drew sees a sign that reads food, rest, and gas: fourty-five miles ahead. Looking at the gas gauge to the vehicle with the pin on the last mark before E, hoping they would make it Drew and Cathy drove on.
About half way to the rest stop their car started to sputter, and with the car running on just vapors it died. So stranded and nothing to eat or drink. They didn’t know how they were going to get out of this one. Trying to stay awake and not sleeping form boredom, Drew and Cathy laid in the back seat of their car, trying to put some moves on his girl, Drew didn’t notice the big rust covered, old, beaten down old ford that said “Yorks Towing” on the side of the door. Stepping out of the truck was a medium build man, with two missing front teeth.
Giving them a room for the night , while Charlie would get their car fixed. After showering and getting ready for bed, watching some tv before falling asleep, Drew was looking around the room and saw a glare in the corner of the room. Jumping up off the bed Drew walked over and noticed a camera that is pointing straight at the bed.
After confronting Charlie, the hotel was shut down and he was fined and placed in jail for life.
